Dr. Andrew Welling, Why Orthodontics?
Dr. Andrew Welling believes that you should love your smile. So many of life’s best moments are accompanied by a smile, and Dr. Welling wants you to feel confident to smile often. Watching the self-confidence that comes from uncovering the beauty in a patient’s smile is one reason Dr. Welling loves orthodontics. He will make you feel comfortable and at ease, as you work together to create a result you love.
Background and Education
Dr. Welling was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah. After serving a two year mission in Alberta, Canada, he attended BYU where he played on the lacrosse team and graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he received awards for clinical excellence, leadership, and character. After dental school, he completed his orthodontic training at the University of Iowa where he received his orthodontic certificate and also completed a Master’s degree in Orthodontics.
Continuing Education
Finding new ways to improve patients’ orthodontic experience and results are each a passion of Dr. Welling. These passions have led him to pursue additional training in the areas of clear aligner treatment (ex. Invisalign), smile esthetics, and digital orthodontics.

Dr. Welling grew up in Bountiful and now lives in Davis County with his wife and three children. His hobbies include boating, softball, rock climbing, golf, and cheering for the University of Utah football team.
