Dr. Rett , Why Orthodontics?
Dr. Rett believes that a confident smile has the power to change lives. Early in his dental education, he was inspired by the emotional impact that smile transformations had on patients—not just in their appearance, but in their self-esteem. That realization sparked his passion for orthodontics. For Dr. Rett, the most rewarding part of his work is helping patients feel proud of their smiles while building meaningful, long-term relationships along the way. His easygoing and caring nature helps patients feel comfortable from the very first visit.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Dr. Rett grew up in Livermore, California, located in the Bay Area. After serving a mission in Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he earned his dental degree from the University of Utah School of Dentistry. He then completed his orthodontic residency at Loma Linda University, where he received extensive training in a wide variety of treatment approaches—including traditional and self-ligating brackets, ceramic braces, clear aligners like Invisalign, and orthognathic surgery cases.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
Dr. Rett is committed to staying current with the latest orthodontic techniques and technologies. His background includes advanced training in clear aligner therapy, digital orthodontics, and esthetic treatment options—ensuring each patient receives care tailored to their goals and lifestyle.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Dr. Rett lives in Utah with his wife Chandler and their two young children, Crew and Georgia. Family is the center of his life, and they love spending time together at the beach, on the lake, or at Disneyland—one of their favorite places. With a degree in Exercise Science, Dr. Rett also enjoys staying active through weightlifting, snowboarding, and playing sports. He’s a lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Golden State Warriors, and Oakland A’s, and if he weren’t an orthodontist, he might be behind the mic as a sports broadcaster!
