iTero Digital Impression Systems Scanner
The iTero digital impression systems scanner is focused on patient comfort. Using a small wand, we gently scan each tooth and around the gums to obtain a pure, clean digital impression of the patient’s mouth. Digital impressions are more accurate than traditional impressions, allowing for effective treatment. In addition, our patients appreciate how quickly the process is, and the fact that they no longer need to worry about leftover material stuck to their cheek! The best part about iTero is how quickly it works to have the aligners created and allowing our patients to get started with their orthodontic treatment plan quickly.
Is it Safe?
The iTero digital impression systems scanner is radiation-free and takes as little as three minutes for the scanner to render a 3D impression of the teeth, gums, and surrounding tissue. Patients can follow along on the screen as our technicians scan the mouth with the small hand-held wand. In addition to using iTero for Invisalign, we can use the scanner for any orthodontic treatment. Modern digital scans of the teeth make it easier for our patients to track the process of their treatment to see how the teeth are shifting and moving into proper alignment.
